Writer's Block: Play it again, Sam
If you could only listen to one CD for the rest of your life, what would you choose and why?

Excellent choice!!! Joshua Bell does play so beautifully! ♥

Yes, I was so annoyed to find out he had played a concert in the UK last year, I am always the last to find out these things lol.
Ree: Flowerreetinkerbell on November 11th, 2009 08:30 pm (UTC)
I've never heard of it, but I will for sure try and find something so I can hear it. :)

I will upload you a track. His playing is beautiful.

Thank you for the youtube link - I'm sadly unable to listen to it on this computer, so I can't tell you right now how I liked the music, but I thought I should at least let you know that it made its way to me and I am much appreciative. :)

How are you?
Spikes Bintspikesbint on November 12th, 2009 10:09 pm (UTC)
I am not so bad thanks, I am asleep most of the day. My meds knock me out, so I am kind of nocturnal at the moment. I hope you are doing ok.
Ree: DW - The Tenth Doctorreetinkerbell on November 13th, 2009 08:43 am (UTC)
I'm sorry to hear that you are sleeping most of the time because of the meds. Being nocturnal can sometimes be good, but when I was for most of the time, I became a bit depressed because I never saw the sun or other people (except online) - I really hope the same won't happen to you. *hugs*

I am good, a bit stressed because I have exams coming up next week and I'm ill prepared and I keep getting sick, as usual, but other than that, I'm good. :)

I only have two of his, but I cried the first time I heard him he moved me to tears, never had that effect before.

Joshua Bell is incredible.
Spikes Bintspikesbint on November 12th, 2009 10:08 pm (UTC)
Agreed :D

I was very fortunate to see him when he first became "a hit" and he was recording here in Nashville, of all places, with Yo-Yo Ma and a few other classical biggies. He's very talented!
Spikes Bintspikesbint on November 12th, 2009 10:08 pm (UTC)
You are so lucky *green with envy here* He played at the Royal Albert Hall last year and I didn't find out about it until it was too late. I hope he comes back to the UK again one day.

Hello!

Good choice. He does play like someone in a dream. xo
Spikes Bintspikesbint on November 12th, 2009 10:07 pm (UTC)
Thanks and hello :D I like his contribution to the Red Violin soundtrack too, I need to get more of his work :)

Great idea to post your answer this way. I couldn't possibly choose one. I couldn't.

Hugs to you,
Joyful Tiger

Thanks, I liked the question they had for this one, usually it's a really stupid one but this appealed to me. It was hard to narrow it down. Another piece of music that is my all time favourite is Fantasia on a them of Thomas Tallis, it is a lot bit of music but I never get bored of it.

I've never heard of JB and haven't seen the movie yet, but I'll have to go check out the ST on YouTube! :-D Thanks for the suggestion! *hugs*

P.S. I thought for sure you were gonna say N&S...LOL!
Spikes Bintspikesbint on November 12th, 2009 10:05 pm (UTC)
I love the N&S soundtrack but Joshua Bell is exquisite. I think he is an artist you would enjoy, and also the movie :)

I've been YT'ing some, and it *is* pretty! Thank you for the suggestion! :-D

(I hope you're doing well...)

My favourite Joshua Bell performance:

This was the first time I'd seen him and I was blown away, plus it's a beautiful piece.

Can't think of an answer to your question though, too many to choose from.
Spikes Bintspikesbint on November 12th, 2009 10:03 pm (UTC)
Lol, I had to think about it. I was like hmm Richard Armitage audio book or Joshua Bell, he beat RA lol :D
